ABOUT

For years I wanted to become an interior designer. I took all the classes, learned the programs, went to art school summer camp, and made my way to Columbia College Chicago with a focus on Interior Architecture. Three months in I thought I made a mistake and the next year I switched to state school and found myself graduating with a focus on Hospitality. I put the dream on a shelf and successfully pursued a career in Sales with everything from leisure to hotel and now event sales. My husband and I have been DIYing our way through life since we bought our home in 2014. When the iconic 2020 hit I found myself without a job and itching to use my creativity with purpose and with that I I finally decided to own that role and be intentional about it. Instead of waiting around for my husband to take on all the building aspects of the projects I wanted, I finally picked up power tools and taught myself how to use them (with his help of course) and began the process of matching the rest of our home to our dream kitchen we created 2 years ago. I founded NicoleLucevicHome with a mission to give others a taste of what goes on in my mind, and hopefully some inspiration to pick up a drill and a hammer. If I can figure it out so can you!
