A Bold Contemporary Modern Dining Room Reveal

I’m so excited to finally share this contemporary modern dining room reveal—a space that was such a joy to design from start to finish. Projects like this are always special, but this one stands out because of the amazing clients who brought such trust, enthusiasm, and style to the process. It was truly a collaborative experience, and I couldn’t be more grateful to have been a part of their home journey.
From the very beginning, they weren’t afraid to go bold—and I love them for it. We started with a vision of creating a dramatic, yet inviting space for entertaining, and anchored it with a moody black statement wall. It instantly set the tone for the room. To give it presence and personality, they found this oversized art piece that feels like the soul of the space. Framed by two warm gold sconces, it’s now a true focal point.
Lighting was key in this room, and my clients trusted me to go big with it. Their space is filled with an amazing amount of natural light so these lighting choices were all about making a statement. The gold chandelier with large white orbs feels sculptural and ties the entire room together and adds that bit of wow every dining room deserves.
For the furniture, we worked with their existing large, round dining table and fabulous velvet blue chairs. Along the floor-to-ceiling windows, we brought in a marble 63" buffet table that checks all the boxes: storage, style, and space for greenery. It keeps the room feeling fresh and layered, without ever feeling cluttered. My favorite addition was the rug which brought in personality and helped to anchor the space.
This room reflects my clients in the best way—confident, creative, and completely one of a kind. I’m so proud of what we created together, and even more honored to have worked with such open-hearted, design-loving homeowners.
